Oba Igbile Celebrates One Year Of Steady Progress

A retired Senior Civil Servant turned traditional ruler, Oba Abdulsalam Kolawole, has enumerated a catalogue of impact he made in the last 365 days in office, stating that Igbile would be positioned on the world map.
Responding to questions from a newshunts in his Igbile Palace, Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State, the Jaun of Igbile, a straight forward monarch spoke on his activities more importantly in the area of infrastructural development Excerpts.

Q: Kabiyesi what has been your success story in the last 365days?
A: The Awujale and the Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Late Oba Kayode Adetona, endorsed my  coronation as a traditional ruler on December and since then I have continued to steer the ship of economic prosperity of my fatherland
In the last one year, my reign has witnessed maximum peace and development  which was made possible through maximum cooperation among our people, which I believe will further promote steady progress.
Solar Street light were installed across the community to improve the quality of life, while free medical outreach program were organised to improve the health status of our people.

In addition to this, we renovated the health centres and further provided medical facilities as health is wealth.
Boreholes were also provided in key areas in the community so that our people can have access to hygienic water for consumption.
By and large,  you will agree with me that insecurity is one of the challenges confronting Nigeria as a whole, in Igbile efforts were put in place to ensure that our people can sleep with their two eyes closed, we engaged the services of Agbekoya security apparatus to ensure the safety of lives and property, thereby sending the right signal to criminals to stay away from our community.

In the area of education free educational materials were given to pupils in public schools to encourage their educational pursuit, while scholarship were given to less privileged children to have access education.
I also took a step further to renovate some structures in public school so as to provide a conducive learning environment for pupils who are the leaders of tomorrow.
I need to inform that, effort is on going to have a well equipped  I.C.T centre in the community to promote youth ICT initiative and give them access to digital global trending.

We have continued to leverage on available opportunity towards developing the community and also expanding our economy. There is a plan to establish a market  to boost commercial activities while the construction of lock-up shops is on going and we will continue to provide funding for businesses to strive and develop.
Being the custodian of culture and tradition,  I will continue to defend, protect and preserve our culture and identity so that they will not go into extinction. Igbile is very rich in culture and tradition and we are making efforts to make the community a tourist attraction.
Before my emergence as royal father,  I have been helping the less privileged in the community and I will continue to toe the line towards nation building.  I cannot do it alone I am hereby calling on all the well to do indigenes of the community, both home and diaspora to give the required support to the socio- economic development of less privileged and the community at large.
We must appreciate his Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his developmental strides across Ogun State and I am appealing to him to kindly extend these  developmental strides to Igbile and it's environs.
I believe strongly that,  the Governor is a listening Governor who will do everything possible to deliver the dividends of democracy to the door step of the people.
We pray and believe that he will soon effect presentation of our staff of office so that we will be able to function effectively.

Q: Alayeluwa what is your message to the public?
A: The people of Igbile should hope for the best as we have a lot of programs in the pipeline which includes,  industralisation of Igbile to enhance job creation for the youth,
We are also praying to God for the establishment of a private polytechnic in Igbile soon and also establishment of  manufacturing companies that will develop our community and make life more meaningful for the people.
